Hello Friends we are starting with ancient football series - series-1 In this series we will track the growth of football to what it is now, amazing to many the very primitive form and records of game is found from china and Chinese  dynasty, so lets have a look in brief that how the game looked then!!


 

Name of game: Tsu Chu or Cuju

Place: China's Shandong province

Date: 3000 to 2500 BCE

Dynasty involved: Tsin Dynasty (255 - 206 BCE) and gained popularity during Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE)

Rules Allowed: feet, chest, back & shoulders

Rules Prohibited: Using hand

Objective of the game: Kicking a leather ball through opening one foot wide into net attached above 30 feet high bamboo poles

Size of the ball:  Similar to size of Volley Ball
